Our baseball heros may be artificially buff, but a study to be published in tomorrow’s Journal of the American Medical Association says that NFL players are a bunch of big fat pigs. More than twenty-five percent weigh in as class two obese (imagine a six-footer weighing 300 pounds), and 3 percent (60 players) are in class three, meaning they weigh about 400 pounds. Overall, more than 50 percent could use a trip to Jenny Craig. And these guys are supposed to be the real athletes?
