Rooting Interests

This may be a little dated, but still funny. And it's equal-opportunity, for those who might not be into a little BO.

  • I hadn’t seen the Palin clips. Hilarious!
Why is it that whenever McCain attacks Obama, he looks really passive-aggressive? Like, he’s smiling and kinda making a joke, but you can tell he means it just a little too much. It’s off-putting, I think.

  • “It’s off-putting, I think.”
McCain could be saving a baby from a burning building, while curing the common cold and somehow it would “off-putting” to those who don’t like him.
What a shock that they were able to find 3 to Obama’s 2…honest to goodness, straight forward reporting, that’s what you can count on from Comedy Central. LOL. Ironically enough did anyone hear Palin pledge her allegiance to any of those three teams like Mr. Obama did? Hmmmm, I didn’t, but The Daily Show would never try and massage the truth would they? Never.

  • I had totally forgotten about this…
” LOWELL, Mass. — A barber from Lawrence, Mass., has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and other charges for an alcohol-fueled fight over a Yankees-Red Sox playoff game that killed one man and wounded two others.
Julio Rodriguez was sentenced to five years in prison after entering his plea Tuesday. The 62-year-old man was credited with the four years he already has spent behind bars since the October 2004 violence.
Prosecutors say Rodriguez was among a group of men who had watched the baseball game on TV in Boston, which the Red Sox won 6-4.
Rodriguez was a Yankees fan, and the other men teased him. Prosecutors say he pulled out a gun and shot three of them, killing one and wounded two others.
Rodriguez said he had no memory of the incident.”

  • How do you only get five years for that?

    SF October 29, 2008, 4:28 pm
  • That was my first reaction too, there are completely non-violent drug offenders behind bars for much longer than that.
    Absurd.
