Spot Start for the Tie: Sox-Phils Gamer IV

Franklin Morales has made it back to the team after a plethora of injuries put him on the sidelines to start the season. I honestly feel a bit more hopeful about his prospects as a starter than Doubront’s, but I’ve been known to be wrong before (about Jon Lester’s long-term prospects, especially). Jonathan Pettibone is a rook pitching for the Phillies. He has not allowed more than three runs in any of his 7 starts this season, but given his peripherals (for instance, opponents are hitting .280 off him), his ERA is due to balloon at some point. Since he is not a lefty (the Red Sox suck against lefties), there is hope that today is the day for some regression to the mean. Comment on the pre-Yankee-series shenanigans here.
