  • The (Lorenzo) Cain mutiny continues. 2-2.

  • And there goes the 3-run or less streak!

  • No pressure then on Webster in the nightcap.

  • Warning track power by the Sox, but Cain not only hits but catches everything.

  • Papi with a double. One fears for his Achilles every time he has to run and touch a base.

  • Decent start from Dempster and by going 7 he gives us some bullpen arms for the second game. Now some runs please!

  • Thanks, gerb. Sox are gonna be hard-pressed to win this one. Hopefully Webster is adequate tonight and the offense comes through for him.

  • Streak over. Let’s start a new one tonight. KC used quite a few bullpen guys this afternoon, so get them early and often.

  • My take on this series is that we learned little we didn’t already know. The starting pitching is good so far. The bullpen is good so far, but can’t do everything, and the offense is going to come up short sometimes.

  • That, and Andrew Miller should have a shorter leash.

  • Yar, Brad. I almost added last night “And Andrew Miller has probably jumped ahead of Aceves (with his recent useful outings) on the ‘should be replaced upon health of Morales/Breslow’ chart”. Walking in the winning run was just soooooooo embarrassing. On 4 pitches. Inexcusable.
