The West Is the Best: Sox-Halos Gamer I

Actually, the East is almost certainly the best, division-wise, but it’s time for the Sox to do the west coast swing thang, as they march through LA, Seattle (I’ll be in the house Wednesday night), and Oakland over the next 10 days leading to the All-Star Break.

It starts with Doubront (who had a pretty darn good June after a rough early season) and CJ Wilson. Sox need to choke the life out of their weak opponents in the next week, but Wilson’s a good pitcher, so we’ll see how that goes. Comment away!

  • The 3-2 lead the Red Sox have in the bottom of the 7th is thanks to two really bad errors by the Angels outfield; otherwise the 1-run lead would belong to the Angels. Doubront is having himself a night at 90 pitches and 6.1 innings, but Callaspo doubles into the left-center gap.

  • 6.2 innings and the runner still at 2nd as Doubront escapes a 3-1 count with a K. Also, I feel like I might have done this gamer title before? Whatever.

  • Victory. If the Red Sox play .500 baseball to the end of the reggalar…they will win…91 games. They have a 5.5 game lead with the Yankees’ comeback win over Balty.
