The Captain Strikes Again

We missed last night’s festivities, but we were more than happy to hear about Captain Perfect’s second consecutive game-winning homer. (And nevermind the pair of errors.)

Meanwhile, this afternoon Moose goes for the Yanks against Texas, and tonight the Sox face Chicago’s Garland. Consider this an open thread for all of today’s action….

  • Jeter’s shot was an opposite field upperdeck one. At least that’s what it looked liked from my vantage point at the bar. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an opposite field upperdeck shot. Seems hard to do, even in Yankee stadium.

  • Uncommon, but not impossible. But an opposite-field shot into the Loge—now that I’d like to see. I seem to recall Sheff hitting one last year. An almost miraculous feat, that.

  • For the record, the scorer realized the error of his ways and took back one of the errors.
