The Angels are winning the World Series?:
Tom’s Verducci picks The Angels as World Series Favorites.
Here is a message for George Steinbrenner, Derek Jeter, Brian Cashman and everyone else who has bought in to the Yankees culture that the season is a failure if New York does not win the World Series: The ’90s are so over. The baseball world has changed so much from when the Yankees won four titles in five years that the Yankees’ world-championship-or-bust mentality has become awkwardly outdated.
This just in: The Yankees probably won’t win this year, either, even if they do have the best team on paper heading into Opening Day. The World Series? It’ll be all SoCal — the Angels over the Dodgers. Why? Because the best team doesn’t win any more; teams with young legs do. These are five reasons why the game has changed to the point that the Yankees’ philosophy is obsolete.
Verducci’s a tool. Why Does Verducci think Angels will win world series this year? Is it because their pitching staff? I’m sick of the Angels. I hate their uniform which is red.. Are the Angels supposed to Blue, Why are their uniforms are red instead blue? Their Owner’s Lucifer look alike… Did The Angels already win in 2002? I guess Verducci forgot and doesn’t remember Angels won. Also, Verducci forgot to mention that their two pitchers Colon and Escobar weren’t healthy last year.
Best post title ever, YF.
Might there be a case to disallow these glasses under the balk rule? It seems like not being able to watch the pitcher’s eyes could fall under the auspices of deception, at least to me.
Can we ask the ump!?
I like it. Kei takes his cue from Charlie Parker and the be-boppers??? (let’s hope he doesn’t nod out on the mound, though)
That was me, Andrews. I don’t know what’s up – it says I’m signed in, but all my posts are anon. Help?
