It’s too hot for separate threads. Free-for all here. Enjoy the idiosyncrasy (and the air conditioning, if you’ve got it).

A lot of whining here about the heat. Has it hit 100 degrees nine times already this summer, like it has down here? Then I don’t wanna hear about it…
Every time I sign in for two weeks, it never works for more than one post. Sucks.
Joba with a nice first inning….
Abreu drills one into the upper deck 2-0
Testing, testing, Abreu monster homer, testing…A-Rod steals 2nd, testing…
Ohhhh, Posada ALMOST hits it out. Nice leaping catch near the wall by Gathright.
97 right now in Williamsburg VA, 48% humidity, for a 109 heat index… Good time to give the dog a bath in the kiddy pool!!!
Pedroia’s year of much more suck continues.
hmm, what was wrong with that 2-2 pitch to Drew?
JD doing it everywhere, a lovely catch off a shot by Sexson.
and the leadoff walks hurt, the Sox can’t turn two and a run scores.
and a hit. Masterson looking very shaky against a really bad lineup.
In upper deck. Its a thousand degrees and we are losing. Sunny side?
In case anyone was wondering, when Jason Giambi hits a homerun, the crack of the bat comes across on mlb.com audio as an unmistakably vicious and altogether unique sound.
What does Pedroia’s sophomore slump sound like, IH?
Like a chipmunk sleeping.
Strangely, his hot-streaks sound like a chipmunk hitting well.
Drew hit that one gooooood.
A nice inning from Hansen after the walk. Foul-out to catcher, and two called strikeouts. His ERA is in the somewhat respectable range now.
Hansen’s been pretty dominant recently, actually. Which we needed.
Also, I like this new “JD Drew” character who hits home runs. I wish to see more of him.
Coco hit that one gooood…but not quite enough.
Clean 8th for Oki.
Now THAT is the Okajima I like to see.
Yanks win it. This KC series was certainly good for more drama than many would have expected going in. Some monster HRs from A-Rod and Giambi. Damon starts out 0-5 on Friday but even still ends up batting .500 for the series. And Joba did OK today.
Sox win! 40 wins thus far. Drew’s the man.
Good win today. I really like Masterson, honestly – if Colon starts falling off, or we suffer more setbacks with others (Dice-K, Buchholz), I’m comfortable with him making more starts.
Oops, KC series not quite over – one more tomorrow.
winning is fun…
