Venue Change: Sox-Phils Gamer III (I?)

This week’s “clever” MLB interleague scheduling includes all 4-game series split between each team’s park for 2 days. Most of the pairings make sense geographically (probably none more than the Mets and Yanks), but the Braves and Blue Jays got TOTALLY reamed on that one.

Today, the Sox attempt to shrug off getting stifled by Cliff Lee yesterday, taking on totally-good-but-not-that-good starter Kyle Kendrick. The Sox answer with the seemingly rejuvenated Lackey, who has been good on the year and great recently. Commentation if you have it.

  • Bomb Uehara gives up in the 8th ends up being the difference as Sox almost come back on Papelbon, but leave the tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position. At least the Yanks and O’s lost.

  • I take that back–the O’s won. Bah.
