Finally. Mom and Dad of SF were at the Fens to witness a lifelong dream – we await a report on a wonderful day, win or lose.
Congratulations to the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox.
I am curious about why Soxfan has linked to the NYT and not a Boston paper.
I live in NYC, web browser homepage set to the Times, it was right there, and it’s an AP wire story so the same everywhere. Wanted to get it up there as fast as possible!
I am surprised that you would sacrifice your integrity (if you have any) at the altar of ruthless efficiency. After 86 years, you should know better.
Posts from the Globe will come tomorrow. Don’t worry – I’m partial to their sports section but this was a straight news story. The Globe section, particularly Sunday’s Edes column, is still the best in the biz.
Also, I had to come home from work early to take care of the kid, and the first thing I did was put on NESN, via DirecTV – none of that YES garbage, just so you know where I stand. Unfortunately it was blacked out and I had to listen to know-it-all-Kaat for 2 hours.
I would have been more pissed about having to hear Kay than Kaat, or was Kay not doing this broadcast?
Kay too. But I like picking on Kaat because it gets YF’s goat.
Well, congrats SF, and happy for yr M&D, too. Long, LONG awaited day. Still loathe blowhard Schilling and think most of the other idiots are, well, idiots, but I’m genuinely happy for you guys.
