  • “The system is now one of the stronger ones in the minor leagues, and at some point, as those players become major-league-ready, the Yankees will have the most deadly combination of depth of young talent combined with elite payroll resources at the major league level.” – GM Mark Shapiro
It took Cash a while to realize that we need to keep up with our minor league system, but boy once he realized that he has done a wonderful job. Nice to know we have some kids that can help down the road, a la Cano, Wang, Jeter, Posada, Rivera, Melky etc…
I know Joba(The Hut) pitched in the Futures Game, but I tried to find it via my Tivo and I couldn’t, does anyone know if they will be showing the game on TV?

  • Not sure if you guys take suggestions, but I think an interesting thread would be “Benches in Baseball.” I would love to see the regulars around here rate them. I honestly feel without looking that we (Yankees) have the WORST bench in the game. I know the NL has deeper benches due to the lack of a DH, so maybe just the AL? Just a thought.

  • I just hope Cash is given the chance to see this through- the “big hook” comment tells me otherwise, though
