  • Who’s this guy calling the game with Sterling?

  • Why on earth did they send Posada from third on the pop out in foul territory?

    attackgerbil September 21, 2007, 8:30 pm
  • Well, it was fun getting within 1.5. At least maybe Cleveland will win the #1 seed in the playoffs.

  • We’re coming back! Nice f-bomb by Doc when they took him out!

  • Right on Robbie! 4-3 now, Giambi coming up.

  • And, right on cue, Jason strokes it into left. Tie game.
    God, I love these guys!!!!

    Holy CRAP.
This is so fucking awesome. Poor Halladay. I was just about to say how the look on his face was priceless on Robbie’s hit. Oh my god. Hhahahaaha.

  • Unreal…I actually feel bad for Halladay

  • Halladay looked like a serial killer on the bench. I don’t know if it was shock, anger, whatever, but that look on his face was absolutely priceless.

  • Absolutely GORGEOUS.
    Welcome to the Bronx.

  • This is the same kind of late game heroics our WS winning teams had. You absolutely had to get 27 outs before it was over. I love this!

  • I was at a dinner until Abreu’s at-bat in the 9th…nice timing. Let’s go Melky.

  • I think my outburst might have just got me evicted. =)

    bloodyank78 September 21, 2007, 10:03 pm
  • Halladay is one pissed muchacho! And rightly so. The Jays must have borrowed the Sox’s bullpen for the evening! :)

    nettles-yf September 21, 2007, 10:05 pm
  • Hopefully, Jason doesn’t kill us with his glove…

    nettles-yf September 21, 2007, 10:06 pm
  • Sweet Mo!

    nettles-yf September 21, 2007, 10:11 pm
  • i think the cause of the outburst is worth getting evicted over :)

    twnty7 (yf) September 21, 2007, 10:12 pm
  • Top of the order coming up in the bottom of the 10th. Come on guys…let’s finish this right now.

    nettles-yf September 21, 2007, 10:12 pm
  • Most of my neighbors are Angel fans anyway; f-them. He he..

    bloodyank78 September 21, 2007, 10:19 pm
  • Wow, not surprising that the game is still going on.. but it’s in the 12th inning! Quick game today, eh? (Except for the extra inning part..)

  • It’s time for an A-BOMB!

    nettles-yf September 21, 2007, 11:23 pm
  • Yanks have now used 7 pitchers….excellent.

    rob September 21, 2007, 11:26 pm
  • Bruney…pitcher #8.

    rob September 21, 2007, 11:36 pm
  • Damn you, Bruney!

    nettles-yf September 21, 2007, 11:38 pm
  • Greg Zaun homers.

    rob September 21, 2007, 11:40 pm
  • Oh well. At least we can all go to sleep finally. Good game – and great pitching for the most part.

    IronHorse (yf) September 22, 2007, 12:04 am
  • Bah. I don’t know whether I should be disappointed that they lost, or grateful that I can finally go to sleep! Can’t get too upset about this loss, though – the comeback against Doc in and of itself was awesome. Now they’ve just got to come back angry tomorrow and knock the tar out of the freakin’ Jays. Yes.
Also, I would guess that this puts an end to all the SF hand wringing, teeth gnashing, and rending of garments. Wild card, w00t!!

    yankeemonkey September 22, 2007, 12:19 am
  • The Yanks are not going to win them all. Coming back with 4 runs in the 9th to tie it was very positive. These guys do no give up.
A little hit from Melky would have been nice, and a win today would be good, because Burnett and McGowan are tough.
I could see losing 4 against the Jays, although I don’t think that will happen. If it does, and the Tigers take advantage, the Yanks will take care of business next week.
The Rocket news is not good. Let’s hope it’s not long term.

    A YF September 22, 2007, 10:45 am
  • Well, that was intense. When watching it condensed, it jumped from the bottom of the ninth to the 14th and I knew that something serious was going on.
Eventually i doubled back and watched it all. Tough at-bats, fighting for every bit, none of the balls crush, just good hitting versus good pitching. Definitely a good sign in the long-run that this team is sticking to its core: scraping and clawing at the plate.
In the short term, giving the Red Sox a little breathing space sucks. Oh well, we couldn’t have gone 15-0 to close the season, right?
