When Roger Clemens threw his first pitch for the Red Sox, Scott Kazmir was not quite four months old. Tonight, they face off at Tropicana Field. Something like the three-homer barrage in the fourth last night that brought the team back to .500 would be much appreciated by Rocket, as the Yankees offense has not held up their end of the bargain; in his six starts, the Yankees have scored 9 (Pittsburgh, so that doesn’t count), 0 (Mets), 3 (Rockies), 2 (Giants), 0 (Baltimore), 5 (Twins), and 1 (Angels). The Yankees have faced Kazmir twice this season, and have scored eight runs off eleven hits in 11.2 innings. Comment away.

The fact that Torre is sitting Abreu because he’s afraid his mechanics will get screwed up against 1.58 WHIP Kazmir whom Abreu is 3-9 against…is so ludicrous I want to jump out of a window! Luckily my window and the ground level are aligned, and therefore, no damage done.
WTF is with Jeets and the GIDPs lately?
Nice 1st inning by Rog. Only 10 pitches…will he go 7 tonight?
Roger have control issues has spotted TB a 3-0 lead.
hmmm…. no sox thread?
OK, the question now is if Rog can make it through 3 innings. The offense looks brutal.
Roger sort of “cruising” in a rocky kinda way. Yankee offense really showing the strength off Kevin Thompson.
just spent the two hours in horrific traffic to come back to down by two with three outs left. Come on guys, win one for my troubles.
Or don’t.
Ball game. Glad I missed most of it I suppose.
