Thank goodness this site isn’t YF vs CF, or this weekend’s posts would be filled with misery and self-pity – as it is those missives can wait about a week. Nice crumble, Cubbies!

And this year they can’t blame it on Bartman. Oakland also pumping up the needle on the collaps-o-meter. This is a real frustration, on several levels:
1: YF’s preseason AL predictions were looking perfect until this….
2: If the A’s fail, we’re going to be bombarded with reactionary, uninformed columns about “Moneyball” tactics. Ugh.
3: Would be nice to continue both the Sox-As and the Yanks-A’s recent postseason histories
4: The Angels are not a team I’d want to face

Regarding #4, it’s nothing to worry about, even if the Angels move on to the second round, if you get my drift.
