Yanks-Sox Spring Training 2009 Inaugural Gamer

That's right folks, the rivalry resumes again this evening, in what promises to be a year-long fight for supremacy. Forget the distractions: MannyCancerGate, A-Roid, the WBC. It's back to basics. The homestanding Sox get their first peek at rehabed Yankee ace/4rd starter Chien-Ming Wang. The Yanks will start the game against the ageless wonder Tim Wakefield. Bring a glove, kids! Paps will also throw for the Sox. Enjoy! Baseball is back! Hooray!!!

  • Seriously? Trash talk on a game where the Yanks best hitter is Xavier Nady and their second pitcher is Brett Tomko?

  • If Ath’s post is “trash talk” then what I thought was trash talk is something way worse.

  • Booyah, int., A term indicating satisfaction or accomplishment.
Seriously, Ath, how dare you be satisfied by or consider as an accomplishment back-to-back home runs against a team whose best hitter is Xavier Nady. For shame, sir. For shame.

  • I for one can generate no pleasure when the Yankees beat the Royals or Orioles. It will be a long first six games of the season for me!

  • More Hardball wants to know who has the hottest fans in baseball. We’ve be running a set of posts over the past month or so featuring images of each teams’ hotties, with a voting poll to crown a champion. Each division in each league has been decided so now it’s time for the playoffs. In both the American and National League we have Los Angeles versus Chicago…cat fight! Also featured is a good old fashioned ho-down between Beantown and Oakland. Lets not forget about the City of Brother Love against “Houston we have a problem”…let the games begin!

We’d appreciate the plug if you’re so inclined.
