I can’t imagine them getting this game in, though, from the weather here in NYC, and when it started raining, a few hours ago.

Yar, that was a great DP. Lowell really went for it on the throw, considering the runner was off with the pitch.

Drew reaches first thanks to a slight fumble by the 1B and some good hustle down the line.

Papi with a K in his first at-bat, and in the second he flails off-balance and pops to Michael Young. Still looking really lost out there.

So far, this game is moving right along. Penny gets K #4 for the first out in the 5th.

Lugo shouldn’t have made that throw, there’s every chance he could throw it away. Great move to get a glove on it, though.

Ooooohhhh, a little near-collision for Bay and Ellsbury, think they might have been snippy with each other after Bay made the play shoulder to shoulder with Jacoby.

1-0 Rangers…mmmmmm, Lugo maybe had a chance at knocking that down. Shame, would have saved the run.

Can we fire Lugo? Seriously Theo et al., it’s a lost cause, just eat the money and play the overachieving Green the next few weeks.

Buried deeper. 5-0 and two RISP. Penny’s trade value sinking. Pitching change.

Ha ha, the third out is achieved on a wild pitch that Varitek throws back to the pitcher to get Byrd at home.

Papi still stinks. Man, he should be turning and lining those inside fastballs.

Bay and Lowell on to start the 8th, nobody warming in the Rangers’ pen when the inning started. Ortiz up. Guardado now warming.

Two down fast, Tek on a low curve swinging 3-2, and Ellsbury popping to left.
Baldelli for Lugo PHing.

Yeah okay, pitch counts don’t matter, Nolan. Especially not for 34 year old pitchers.
Does Ryan actually think every pitcher has a golden arm like he does?

Yeah, Washington was a jackass to have him start the 8th. It’s the only reason anything got started tonight.
Long foul ball from Murphy there. Wow.

How do you not throw the ball to second there?
Texas is trying to give the game away. They haven’t changed from the two series against the Yankees.
