A’s Bard’s Tale: A’s-Sox Gamer III

Did not see the game but Bard went over a hundred pitches and apparently nobody was ready in the bullpen when he was falling apart. The concept of having guys warm up in the bullpen when the starter approaches his limit seems to be totally alien to Bobby V.
Of course it’d also be nice if our starters could avoid the bad inning. And for the offense to bring home the occasional baserunner.
Way too early to call this a lost season but some of the games we needlessly dropped early in the season might come back to haunt us in September when we might be a couple of wins out of the wildcard.
