Epstein also set the musical tone by stepping up strongly in an appearance with fellow Bostonian Bill Janovitz. They tore through Neil Young’s "Rockin’ in the Free World" and did several tunes from Janovitz’s still-beloved band Buffalo Tom. "They’re great songs, so it’s hard to screw them up," Epstein said later after playing some pretty fair rhythm guitar. Janovitz kidded him by saying that "Theo has a whole Jimi Hendrix thing worked out up here."
Cheesy jazz fusion or Neil Young covers? We’ll rock in the free world anytime, as Theo and crew raise money for charity with bombastic covers and hard guitar work. Strum that cord, Bernie Williams!
