Bird Brained: O’s-Yanks Gamer VI

The Yankees play the Orioles while the Sox and Jays get it on as hot and heavy AL beast action continues. The Rays are odd men out on divisional play as they host hapless Oaktown.

The Orioles and Yanks are 3-3 against each other on the season, scoring an aggregate 34 and 35 runs respectively. Baltimore brings B.B. (Brad Bergensen) to counter C.C. Rolling rolling rolling. Comment away.

I was holding out having too much hope for ARod’s return, but really, do I have to say anymore?
Also, kreug’s “awful” pessimistism is kind of down, but the holy reverse jinx works, so can’t complain there!

CC pitching the hell out of the ball. O’s look outmatched. late on everything. i guess this is the guy we paid for.

WHO THE HELL IS THIS IDIOT PITCHER??? He throws nothing but 45 MPH fastballs right down the middle and we can’t hit him??? COME ON YOU IDIOTS!!!

Well CC looks great but the Yanks continue to suck against mediocre rookie pitchers. Hopefully we can get through the last two innings FTW.

Yanks get a huge break when Andino botches a potential inning ending DP. 3-1, bases still loaded w/ 1 out for Cap’n.

And Texeira puts the exclamation point with a 2-run jack following Damon’s RBI single. 9-1. The pitchers’ duel has become a rout!

Chris Ray not clutch, though the defense behind him was suspect.
Well, no one could catch that HR..

Does that rival the A-Rod homerun distance? That was way, way back in the SECOND deck.

How the hell do Teixeira and ARod keep hitting homeruns? It’s like every fucking night they both go yard.

How is that Bruney? He looks like he just suffered some horrible wasting disease. It looks like he’s under 200 lbs.
Impressive that he can still pump it up to the mid-nineties.

Bruney is back already? Damn, I haven’t been paying attention but I thought he wasn’t due for another week or so.

Ath – you’re probably thinking of Wang, or Posada. Wang should be back within the week, Posada not long after. He was running at what looked like full speed before the game today. Once he starts rehabs he’ll be back within that week as well. Then they’ll pretty much be at full strength, with Nady maybe a few weeks from that.

I just woke up from my offensive explosion induced coma….that was _________ awesome!!!! CC was solid for the third straight time. Tex and ARod going yard again. Unreal. 8 in a row tomorrow?
Not. We still suck.

No Krueg, I won’t let you reverse-jinx this one. The Yankees are the hottest team in baseball, and the favorites to win the AL East!

Well I’ve never pretended to be anything but a Sox fan… though I do poke my head in here because the trials and tribulations of Krueg have been entertaining lately ;-)
