How will the stadium play on a cool April evening? Will anyone be in the decent seats to find out? Jason Giambi returns to the Bronx to take aim at the short rightfield porch. Along with him is FA-to-be (read: our leftfielder by July*) Matt Holiday.They face Andy Pettitte. A's throw Dana Eveland. Yanks also get some good news: Xavier Nady is not done for the year. (Probably) Also, Wang will be heading to Tampa for a simulated game. When/if he comes back is an open question. Comment away!
* we kid. sort of.

Gardner stealing his 4th base. That’s good.
Damon, Tesh and Gardner collectively gave the Yanks a 4-2 lead, though AP looks a little bad, with about 70 pitches in 4 innings, but keeping A’s to 2 runs.
AP with a 1-2-3, and he’s through 5 on 80 pitches. Perhaps equally important, it’s an official game now, after 4.5.
Eveland done for the day – 4 IP, 4 ER, 3 K, 9 H, 4 BB. Yanks probably should’ve scored more on that..
You know, what though? That’s a quality start. Sure 9 hits but only one extra base.
A win is a win.
