The Red Sox and Braves have been rained out.

  • I’m fine with a rest for the guys after the doubleheader, plus, I have to go to Bob Kraft’s house tonight to have dinner with Theo and 598 other people.

  • Damn. I’m actually not working today and was looking forward to hearing Devern Hansack in action.
The day of rest is all well and good.. but then we go right into another double header. . Maybe. More rain on the way that could wipe out one or both of THOSE games.
I hate double headers, cause 80% of them we lose one of them.. unlike yesterdays heroics, certainly the exception.
Part of me is hoping for more rain – like two more cancelations worth. That coupled with a SCHEDULED day off after the Yankee series may enable us to throw Daisuke, Wake and Schill (skipping Tavarez) at the Yanks who will be, no matter what, countering with Mussina (not sure what to expect.. it’ll be the first time he’s faced a hard-hitting team since coming off the DL), Wang (Which Wang will we get? Almost-Perfect Wang, or the last Wang we saw that we kicked the tar out of?), and Pettite (always always tough)

  • I’m not so bummed, this allows me to catch up on my Netflix discs that have accumulated the past month, besides on a so-so weather day tomorrow what could be better than 27 innings of baseball(Yanks-Mets and 2 Sox games), beer, a plethora of unhealthy meat for grilling, beer, and an exciting horse race with a crazy jockey going for win # 2? Should be a good couch day.

  • For sure, Shawn. Tomorrow is an excellent sports day.
