The big lefty checked out the new stadium yesterday. The photo shows a man filled with regret:
A.J. Burnett is also in town. Both pitchers are here for a press conference where they will be introduced to the most charming group of individuals in the world: New York City beat reporters.
Predicted first tactless question for Sabathia:
"You ever think about cutting cheese from your diet?"
For Burnett:
"Are you the next Carl Pavano?"
A truly clever and sophomoric reporter would phrase it “cutting the cheese from your diet”. It’s never bad to get a fart joke in there.
Sabathia would then respond by eating the reporter. Burnett would respond by tripping and breaking his elbow.

I am guessing you are referring to the picture of A-Rod on the Diamondvision?
Just the thought of opting out and getting richer in three years never fails to bring a smile to CC’s face. And the thought of lunch. Mmmm….Reuben.
during the press conference to introduce the 2 new pitchers this morning randy levine introduced the players children to the media. aj’s son is named ashton.
that is all.
“aj’s son is named ashton.”
i dont get it. Why is this funny?
i’m sure aj and his wife had hours of deliberation between ashton, owen, caleb, or dakota.
where did all the good names go? is no one named bruce or duane any more?
huh?
“aj’s son is named ashton.”
a couple of ideas here.
This is a suggestion that the AJ Burnett signing is an elaborate prank for the season premiere of Punk’d.
AJ Burnett is the very disturbed father-in-law of Demi Moore.
“where did all the good names go? ”
Sorry I didnt realize “rod” was the be all and end all in names these days!
it’s roderick, but whatever. aj has the right to name his kid whatever the cast of Friends tells him to. just would’ve expected a little more from a guy named allen james from arkansas.
Speaking of names and children, check out this story about this wacky, wacky family in New Jersey. I always knew that people in Jersey were weird….
