We have the hot stove; in Cuba they have the esquina caliente, “hot corner,” where discussions of our mutual national pastime are always on a high flame. The Cuban League opened it’s 47th season this month, and one of the big questions is whether their great rivalry, between the Havana Industriales and Santiago, will live up to its storied history.
