Don’t Drink The Water: Yanks-Os Gamer III

Álex Rodríguez missed yesterday’s game with another stomach virus, the second time this has happened when in Baltimore. He’s out of the lineup today, along with Giambi. Moose is day-to-day. Giambi received another cortisone shot to try and sort out his wrist. So the Yanks are pretty banged up. The good news is that Jeter is still up to something and Pete Abraham makes his case for Jeter as MVP,Godzilla may join the team today, no later than tomorrow according to Joe Torre.

Jaret Wright, who pitched well against Detroit in his last outing but got a no-decision, takes the mound for New York. Posada is getting a rest today, and Bernie is in center as Johnny will lead off as DH. Melky is batting second, and Abreu is cleaning up. It’s an interesting lineup, for lack of a better term, and it’s in the extended. Hayden Penn is on the mound for Baltimore. It’s game three of four at Camden Yards. Here’s your place to comment on this afternoon’s game.

  • I know…David Ortiz #48, and hey, the Sox might actually win this one! I’m reduced to the state of a Royals fan (ironically enough, given the opponent), where I can only root for the game at hand and not think about the bigger picture.

  • Two straight wins with “B” team lineups. Sal the Stach with a 3-run dinger! Sweet.
