Yes, this hurts. Derek Jeter will be back next season, and so will Mariano Rivera. It is on the rest of the team to make sure that Jeter and Mo are welcomed back to the defending champions. It starts with this game. Hiroki Kuroda is on the mound at The Stadium. Comment away.

ya know gerb, i’d be lying if i said i don’t care about winning, but at this point, i care more about the yankees showing up, and playing with some pride…this malaise started months ago…the team has become so reliant on jeter and cc it’s pathetic…sure we get heroics from ibanez, who almost didn’t make the team in the spring, and ichiro, who only got here at the deadline, but from the looks on some other faces, they seem overwhelmed to be here…never saw that on the championship teams, who seemed to know they belonged…
Malaise is the perfect word.
more of the same…unwatchable…i’d rather you taped my eyelids open and made me watch a 12 hour kardashian marathon…
This franchise needs a major overhaul…look at all the empty seats and the general apathy of the fans. I missed the first 4 innings, couldn’t care less.
Pretty sad for us.
I mean Cano…what the hell is wrong with him??????
Awesome pitching by Kuroda. Just fantastic stuff. Too bad the Yankees can’t give him any support at all.
never mind.
Can’t catch a break with the umps, and can’t score anyway.
Major changes are coming…the brass HAD to have noticed the empty seats.
We all hate this team.
Watching stl-sf. Now that’s what playoff home team should sound like.
Crowd rather.
12 for 107 with 38 sttrikeouts now for Cano/Granderson/A-Rod/Swisher. Yes, I fully intend to keep tracking their stats until they’re out. And don’t worry, it should all be over soon.
