Giving Thanks

The Sox played .692 (close enough, anyway) baseball in April and .500 baseball in May. They won the first two contests in June against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

On this off-day (thank goodness the team can rest after a 20-games-in-a-row stretch), I just have to say that given the rest of the year may be much, much worse than this, I am super-grateful to see the Red Sox play winning baseball for a long stretch. .603 through two-plus months of the season is suuuuuuuuuch a pleasure to watch given Sep. 2011 through Sep. 2012. The rest of June is going to be a rough one, most likely (it starts with the Rangers at Fenway tomorrow), but I’ll take today to savor what the season has been.

  • Haha, while I’m sure IBM and other reggalars are caught up in the chase for the Cup, I’m a one-sport human myself. There is only baseball. The others can be diverting, but they’re not in my soul.
