We went to an Angels/Dodgers game and there was this kid in a Yankees hat that the fans in our section literally rode all game long. People HATE us there, and we hate them…it would be nice to crush them in the playoffs!!!!! Or the Sox of course…

OK, saw Gardner had gotten on base and went back out to watch the rest. Small ball plus defense (the strike-out-throw-out DP by Mo/Jorge was a thing of beauty) beat the Angels at their own game. Needed that win. A win tomorrow and the yanks are actually .500 against this team in ’09. More importantly, tonight helped ensure the Angels don’t grab homefield throughout the playoffs from the Yanks.
Huge night for A-Rod in the field and at the plate.
Magic # to 6. Now we can stop entertaining unrealistic thoughts of the Sox overtaking the Yankees and start entertaining unrealistic thoughts of the Yanks clinching the division against the Sox this weekend.
I DVR’d the rest of the game and watched it over Frosted Mini Wheats this morning…man, that was brutal. Ace was pretty un-Ace like but the boys got the big run in the 9th! Gardner getting on base is huge…imagine if he could get his OBP up around .400???
