Twenty-three combined runs and eleven pitchers after start time, the plucky Cardinals barely held on to stave off the tenacious Rangers in Arlington, taking a two games to one lead in The Series, despite a lackluster performance by Albert Pujols, who was held hitless one of his six at bats, and failed to homer in any of them except the three times he narrowly avoided popping out by hitting it over the fence. Edwin Jackson and Derek Holland man the bump (for an inning or two anyway) tonight. Comment away.

Thank you, Derek Holland, for making the World Series watchable again.
Pete Abe linked to this today in a tidbits column on boston.com.
