Meet the Mutts: Subway Series Gamer I

Dare we call these Mets overhyped? The supposed best team in NYC comes to the Bronx for a three-game set. Perhaps a Yankees sweep will further elucidate the true nature of the team from Queens. They’re good, but they’re not great. In the AL East, they’d be a 4th place team. Let’s go Yanks! Show them the truth! Your thread for comment is here…

  • No Nady and Delgado in the lineup tonight won’t help the Mets cause. Pedro and Glavine not pitching in this series causes another chance of the Mets getting swept in a series again.

  • Let’s win games one and two before we start talking about sweeps.

  • With all those bags, they should turn it into a promotion night. ARod “boo” amplifier night! Put a label on the open end of the bag that says, “insert head here, cinch at neck.”

  • This reminds me of the Sox and Yankees series at Detroit. Both teams came into Detroit and walked away taking 5 out of 7 games.
I happen to think that both the Mets and the Tigers are pretty good teams, but the AL East is where the men are separated from the boys.
