Meet the New Yanks Fans!

Not the same as the old Yanks Fans!  They second guess their manager’s lineup 7 games into the season!  They get pissed at their new starting pitcher even though he’s throwing pretty well!  They boo their all-world closer!  Then their emotions sway the other way after one easy and successful performance by the closer! They post obsessively during the 8th game of the year!

Has the world turned upside-down?

  • This is coming from the fans that believe the season started Yesterday. Now that the RSN took the final step in there Excessive celebration. Please let us appologize for getting the season started before the RSN were done celebrating. I can’t count the amount of times I have heard NOW THE SEASON CAN START WE HAD OUR CEROMONIE. And it has only been 2 days.

I’m with Bob. Here’s a newsflash for SF: Nothing has changed for the Yankees. We lost in 04, just like we lost in 03 (in the Series, at home, ugh), 02, and 01. There’s nothing unusual about us monitoring the lineup (especially when there’s a guy who should be in triple-A leading off), and taking interest in our beloved Pinstripers. That’s what we, baseball fans, Yankee fans, YFSF fans, do. The only group that’s changed—and this seems pretty obvious—is RSN. Now could you please just get over yourselves so we can all move on? You had your party. It was fun. Now it’s a new season, and you’re in last place (ha-ha!), though I’m sure that won’t be for long.

  • Here are a couple of links to articles that seem to be becoming quite common.

  • That wasn’t real Yankee fans booing Rivera, it was either Sox fans who were in attendance or Yankee bandwagoners. I’m sure Sox fans have many bandwagoners as well. Those johnny-come-lately fans who wouldn’t know mariano rivera from john wetteland, same dumbasses who booed Jeter last year. Every fan base has its idiot’s, just like the Sox fan who cares more that the Yankees lost than the fact that the Sox won.
