No, Really, You Take It: Yanks-Sox II Recap

Observations, based on tonight’s events:

-A-Rod is super-duper clutch. (But he’s probably still wondering what happend to that ball)
-Manny? He made sure to get a good long look at his. Not nice
-His wrist may hurt, but Sheff’s swinging hard
-Jeter: 2 hits to 2,000
-Jaret: Fortunate
-Torre and Tito: after 2 consecutive walks, you….get another batter!
-Paps and Mo: On their games
-Papi: Not clutch

Tomorrow: Johnson vs. Clement. Who knows what that’ll bring?

  • Clement vs. Johnson. That means, expect roughly 600 balls thrown by the both of them.
And then comes the THIRD inning.

  • I’m not overly confident in anything related to Johnson other than he’s more often ‘over the hill’ on the ‘on on the mound’.

  • Wow, that ‘clutch’ thing is really getting under the skin of Yankee fans.
Hitting home runs when the Yanks are up by three or down by 8 is what makes him the MVP. Seriously, there is no one better in those situations.

  • Someone really needs to plunk Manny, that was just obnoxious last night.

  • -Douggie: butcher
Isn’t his “ability” the reason they traded for him? Maybe he needs a police escort.
