One of the newest members of the YFSF family (now quite large, considering the six of us) was born July 3, at 8:39 a.m. After some complications, mom and baby — our first — are now both home and very healthy and happy.
I asked Jocelyn-SF if she could take tonight’s gamer. She smiled and messed her diaper. I’m taking that as a no.

HOOOORAY!!!! Congratulations Paul, from everyone in YFSF land, and especially this YF.
Awww, congrats Paul! She’s gorgeous, and glad she’s happy.
Holy heck! Congrats, Paul! Sorry there were complications, but apparently things went okay in the end.
Now would you kindly get back to writing novella-length treatises on the state of the Sox (and Yanks)? My world is out of balance without them. ;)
God bless her Paul. Enjoy it, it’s a great time!
Woohoo!!! Congrats!!!
Also, I hope by “complications” you just mean that the hospital put a Jeter onesie on her and you had to do something about it before taking her out in public.
Congrats Paul!
Isnt the SF tag at the end of her name a bit presumptuous! ;)
she throws like johnny damon! …..is that too soon? ;)
congrats to you and your wife. you’re gonna be a great pops.
rule #1 is no pink hats.
Get that girl a Jeter jumper!!!! Congrats man!!!
Get that girl a Jeter jumper!!!!
And use it as a diaper!
Way to go, Paul!!
Completely awesome in every way possible, and I’m happy to hear that everyone is doing fine.
Also, the -SF tag is apropos for how the rest of her childhood is likely to go.
Again, Congratulations.
The definition of run production has taken on a new dimension for you, my friend.
Paul – Please do a better job with her than I did with my first. He wears Yankees gear just to bug me.
He wears Yankees gear just to bug me.
I can’t even imagine the deep seeded internal pain this must cause.
Great pics Paul! Congratulations! Il ove those mini-hats.
Oh, and congraulations to you too rbf – it’s always nice to see young parents raising their children well. Indeed we all want to give our children the opportunities we never had and to avoid the mistakes we made. It seems you and the missus are well on your way…
We force him to do extra math worksheets before he can leave the house with a Yankees shirt. Outcome – first in his second grade class in math. Off to bang head on wall….
congrats, Paul!
“first in his second grade class in math”
I love it.
Maybe you could have him focus on Sox-related stats. Like, for instance, Jason Varitek’s BA over the past 3 weeks. As it is a double-digit figure it should be well within his range to calculate even if he’s only in 2nd grade. OK ok ok – I’m done. I couldn’t resist. I love that family dynamic though – cracks me up.
Anyway, this is about Paul’s huge day and many sleepless nights to come. Congratulations again Paul.
Yes, congrats, Paul! She’s adorable!
Good for you, Paul. And good four your wife and your family.
(And so I no longer have the youngest child in this family. Mine’s almost 6 months already — they sure do grow up fast. And her maternal grandfather will be pressing to make her a Cubs fan, a notion my 6-year-old son has soundly rejected.)
A daughter is a special blessing to every father. She’s lucky to have you as her daddy.
God bless.
Wow, Paul, I knew from your thin skin and short temper that you got hit with the ugly stick, but I had no idea. Jocelyn must get her looks from her mother!
Simply beautiful, Paul. Simply beautiful!
Oh, and Jocelyn is gorgeous too. I was talking about your Youk-beard before.
