  • JEETS! Our hero, back for his 10th year. Hoot!

  • Wow. Shef, A-Rod, Giambi down on swinging Ks. Harden’s stuff looks hard, and hard to pick up.

  • Yikes, don’t think we’ll be putting 15 on the board against Harden. Mussina better be on in this one.

  • Moose. A bit high in the zone, with the curve, but we’ll take the K. Just don’t leave too many of those upstairs….

  • Masterful first inning for Moose. K’s on the knuckle-curve and the slider; fly out off the change. A professional at work is fun to watch.

  • Jesus. 4 straight swinging ks from Harden. And finally someone retired Matsui. O

  • OK Moose, so far so good. Keep it up.

  • Holy shit, Jeter could have been rung up three different times in that AB. Sheff!!!!

  • And now a walk for Our Hero. It’s going to be a nice year….
….And he scores on the 2b by Sheff. Sweet.

  • Oy. Confusion on the pads. And A-Rod’s NOT PLEASED. (Ear Muffs!)
    That’s April baseball for you.

  • Better limit the damage here.

  • Phew! Could have been worse. Giambi at first is a f—ing liability.

    whatever April 4, 2006, 11:07 pm
  • But he’s still got that good eye…..

    YF April 4, 2006, 11:09 pm

  • I’m sometimes hard on our boys YF.

  • Solid outing thus far from Moose.

  • Harden is closing in on 90 pitches. If his limit is about 100, lets take some pitches next inning and get his ass out of there.
Meanwhile, come on Moose, keep it up.

  • Georgie! Clutch 2-out hit.

    whatever April 4, 2006, 11:42 pm
  • As I recall, this Justin Duchscherer is pretty tough.

  • Nice play Robby! Damon leading off, top of the seventh. Get us started Johnny!

  • Alright. Had to feed the kid. Homer for Chavvy. Then, the real frustration: Jeter bunts over Damon. If we have to watch a season of Derek Jeter giving himself up…..we may have to do something about Torre. Oy,

    YF April 5, 2006, 12:09 am
  • Yeah, Yanks trying to play little ball. Might come in handy sometime though.

    whatever April 5, 2006, 12:18 am
  • Glad Duchscherer is gone. He was looking like Greg Maddox in his prime.

  • 1) Matsui doing his Sheff imitation
    2) Joe is right so often that he gets to be wrong sometimes

    john April 5, 2006, 12:23 am
  • 3) it’s too late for extra innings
    please drive Matsui in

    john April 5, 2006, 12:24 am
  • I here you John. I gotta get up and go to work in the morning.

    whatever April 5, 2006, 12:30 am
  • Actually, I hear you. Not here you.

  • Myers in to face the lefties.

  • Everything about Dotel seems to be good. Farnsworth is doing well. This could be a good pen.

    john April 5, 2006, 12:44 am
  • enter sandman — for me

    john April 5, 2006, 12:45 am
  • Damn, Damon just misses a home run, off the top of the wall, and then is stranded at second.

    whatever April 5, 2006, 12:58 am
  • Crap.

    YF April 5, 2006, 1:04 am
  • Well, that sucked.

    whatever April 5, 2006, 1:05 am
  • It might have sucked, but at least the Yanks were in the game. We had to endure passed balls, Wake gopher balls, Manny’s three K’s, 1 for 9 production from the bottom third of the order and David Riske. Aye carumba!
On the bright side, Coco was electric and Wily Mo got off to a good start.
