He won't affect the market for CC, Tex, etc., but it seems that K-Rod is bringing his over-rated self to Queens.

And after everything we heard about him loving the west coast no less! See, it’s always about the money! No loyalty! He’s just another in a long line of overpaid, underperform…
Oh..wait.
What amazes me is how fast K-Rod’s stock has fallen in this market.. He declined the Angels offer of just about the same money six months ago, and we all thought it was a great move because he was going to be able to demand so much more, but as it turns out, the Angels were right in line with what he got..makes me wonder if K-Rod was just sick of LAA, and didn’t ask them if they’d make the same offer, or if LAA didn’t want to get into a bidding war with anyone over him, so just let him walk.
Doesn’t seem smart on LAA’s part to lose this piece of such miniscule amounts of scratch, but I’m guessing it’s because they’re putting that money elsewhere.
edit: over such miniscule…
Ohh drat. Now who will signle-handedly give up close games in a short playoff series against the Red Sox?
Mariano Rivera, Paul!
Burn!
