Regression to the Mean: Sox-‘Stros Gamer III

Houston’s starter, Jarred Cosart, has an unsustainably low ERA (0.96) in 4 MLB starts. It remains to be seen whether the Sox can “correct” that (or if Cosart is just really, really good), but they’ll have to do it with Dempster on the mound. Let’s see if Houston can win a series for the first time since mid-June against Milwaukee or if the expected outcome…comes out. Feel like commenting for this game that feels a bit more important than it perhaps is?

  • This was really a great win. Down a run in the 9th with 2 on and 1 out, Drew absolutlely devastated a hanging curveball (unlikely Iglesias would have managed that) to put the Sox ahead and Uehara continues to be the man in the 9th.

I think they’re going to have their hands full against KC, though.
