Rematch: Rays-Sox Gamer I

First half of today’s doubleheader is a re-do of the Aceves/Archer matchup from last week. Aceves pitched well last time (6 IP, 1 R), earning the win. Archer threw over 100 pitches in 4 innings and kissed his bicep after striking out Nava (who hit a 2-run shot off him in an epic 10-pitch AB earlier in the game) to end the 4th inning. Considering the personalities involved and the fact that this is only half the slate today for the Sox…well, given the recent bad blood between these teams, this oughta be pretty fun. Go Sox, win game 1!

  • Rain delay bottom 5, bases loaded for Sox, 2 out, leading 4-1. All signs so far appear to indicate game will be finished (game is official now if it were to somehow rain the rest of today/tonight, though).

  • Stupid weather. We’ve played like 50 games less than everyone else…
