Respect The Streak: A’s-Yanks Gamer

Rookie Brett Anderson has given up 4 runs in his last 41 innings spanning 5 starts, and no runs in his last 3 outings with a total of seven hits and three walks over those last 21 innings. The Yankees have won seven in a row since the break and look to take seal their third consecutive series victory with Joba on the mound. Somethin’s gotsta give.

Comment away.

This ump’s strikezone is HUGE…i’m talking rosie o’donnell AND roseanne barr’s ass combined.
Strikes out the side. This game is over.

We need to trade for a starter, put Joba back in the pen where he OBVIOUSLY belongs and get a solid RF’er…Flusher is worthless.
Joba with the K…SCIENCE BE PRAISED!!!! 2 outs. ONE MORE YOU TUBBY PRICK!!!

I have to say Joba is really ugly. Even uglier than Pedroia’s attempts at facial hair. But not quite as ugly as Julian Tavarez.

Joba is a good starter. Not great (yet) but certainly not bad. I don’t have time to look up his stats, but while he throws too many pitches and therefore doesn’t go deep enough in games, he has generally done a good job in the bend-don’t-break category. On an unrelated note, if an opposing pitcher was as demonstrative as Joba I’d want to smack him.

I hear you IH…if Joba were as good as Burnett or CC, I could see the animation…when he was in the pen it didn’t bother me because he was actually doing something…as a starter it is starting to piss me off because he sucks most of the time.

A-Rod really is an adventure on every easy pop-up. It’s just bizarre.
Not sure if I agree on the Pippen vs. Tavarez thing.
Krueg, are you watching this on YES like I am? They keep showing the A’s kid pitcher Andersen doing some really strange stuff in the dugout in between innings.

It does seem like he’s high. The funny thing is that it’s not like he’s goofing off with buddies. It’s like he’s entirely in his own world doing strange stuff.

He is good though…unlike Flusher who is COMPLETELY WORTHLESS IN EVERY WAY!!!! We need a new RF’er…maybe Rios when we get Halladay??? :)

Will Joba go 8? They’ll probably go to Aceves, but I would like it if the Yankees scored some more runs so Bruney, Robertson or Melancon could get some work in.

Joba’s 2-hitter would be a shutout if he could simply have held Cabrera on second base in the first. This is 2 v good and deep starts in a row. Holliday-less Oakland isn’t exactly a fearsome line-up, but this is great to see, and he could still start the 8th.

Haha, awkward fall by Melky. Almost directly following an awkward question, “Were you a better hitter when you were happy?”, by Michael Kay. In a game where Joba gives his most awkward fist-pump yet. Been an awkward night for the Yankees, but I’ll take it.

Broadcaster-banter can be annoying, but I actually enjoy listening to O’Neil, Leiter, and Kay joking around and telling stories. Mostly because of O’Neil and Leiter.

The wife loves O’Neill as an announcer…she never saw him play. I wish he could go play RF now!!!
Kay doesn’t bother me that much…

Pull Joba. Why push it in the 8th. We’ve got a 3-run lead and he walked the leadoff man. There is no reason not to have put in Aceves…and as I type this he hits Ellis. Pulling him a batter too late in my view.

Joba melting down in the 8th…get his the f-ck out of the game. He had a great start. Not sure why the hell you leave him in for the 8th???

I wonder if Marte will ever pitch well for us? Coke has gotten to be very reliable…if Marte can get it together our bullpen will be even more sick.

Alright…the ball beat him there but the douche missed the tag. I hate when they call people out because the ball beats the guy, kinda like the double play when the 2nd baseman doesn’t even touch the bag or travelling in the NBA.
rant over.

And ARod was totally safe, maybe the ump was making up for calling Swish safe at third earlier.Dont know
