Back from the vacay, folks.  Just in time to go back into hibernation for the July break.

Buchholz takes on Peacock (I saw a lot of peacocks in Hawaii) in this meaningless game that takes on more meaninglessness in the face of Germany vs. Argentina.  Still, I’ll be tuning in to get my baseball fix one last time before not watching that game that “counts” later this week.  All the best to you as the height of summer sets in.

  • Boston gets a run on BROCKHOLT’s leadoff homer, but squanders an opportunity for more with bases loaded, 1 out when Bradley GsIDP.

Then Buchholz retires the first three like it’s nothing.

  • I know this is the Astros and only 3 innings, but this is a really encouraging game by Buchholz. Hitting 92, using many kinds of pitches effectively, not walking guys.

    Sox up 4-0.

  • HH gets around 2nd and 3rd, 1 out (on a wild pitch), still has shut them out through 4.

  • Should be like 10-0 Sox by now, but at least it’s 6-0.

  • Curveball’s really bending today for Buchholz.

  • Buchholz has struck out 10 and walked 0 through 7. 3 hits, no runs.

  • Buchholz with 12 K through 8. Brock is 5-for-6. Carp just tripled in 2 more to make it 10-0. The perfect way to go into the break for the team and the fans.
