1 > 26
From a simple mind, perhaps? Or is it so complex I just don’t get it?
Titles, guys. One (speculative) Sox title. 26 Yankees titles. How do you guys not know what “26” refers to? Isn’t that one of the most important numerological items in baseball? Even I know that. What kind of Yankees fans are you?
Yeah, but when coupled with your imaginary one, how are we supposed to divine your point without a little help?
We know the Yanks have 26 titles, what’s the 1?
Yankees fans don’t dwell on the 26 as we expect that number to increase annually. As for the 1, when was that? 86 years ago. 27>0 !
If the Sox pull it off this year, this first championship in 86 years will eclipse anything celebrated here in NYC in the past century. I’ve seen the parades, the ticker tape, and the canyon of heroes, and I imagine that a title in Boston will make the celebrations here look like bad office christmas parties. In this dreamy case, a Sox championship, one title will surely be greater than 26.
