That’s More Like It

Mo, thowing (mostly) strikes, and with a lot more movement on the cutter, exorcizes his Sox demons. Not the prettiest win, but we’ll take it. Now, for the love of god, put Womack back in the 9 slot.

  • er, uh, like you said in your last post. That I read, commented on, and (apparently) promptly forgot.

  • Such an odd game. So many fulcroms. Sturtze’s 2-0 pitch to Nixon in the 7th that was called for a strike really killed the Sox. Looked like a ball to me, but we were glad to take it.
A-Rod, as noted in the previous thread, is really looking dreadful. Feh. Derek may be 1 for his last 9, but at least he’s putting the ball in play, hard, and looking good on defense.

  • Schilling didn’t look so hot tonight :)

  • Schilling looked pretty damn hot for the fist couple of innings. The intriguing question is, did he run out of gas because he’s in April form, and recovering from injury, or did he run out of gas because, yeah its April, but he’s also 39. Is he going to be running out of gas come inning 4 in August? We sure hope so (but wouldn’t bet on it).

  • Good points, YF. I came into the game in the bottom of the 3rd. If his pitch count is now around 100-110 that’s good news for us. But you’re right, we can’t count on that.

  • Also, was it me, or did Mo seem to be throwing inside more?
