The Rays won again, pulling to within 3 games of the Sox and 6.5 of the Bombers. There's a good chance that number goes down to 6 (and if Man is 5, then the Devil is…) because the Yanks drew the King for tonight's affair. The good news is that Phil Hughes drew the Mariners' offense. So there's hope yet.
Go Yanks!

watching the mlb gamecast. The scouting report on Jeter is that he loves to face the knuckleball and hates the fastball. Clearly a hall of fame career would spring from that combo.
Let’s hope they score a run with 1st and 3rd and one out.
run scores on a groundout. ok, I’ll take it. Grandy up with 2 out and man on 3rd. Getting 2 runs on Felix is a minor miracle.
Alas, it was not meant to be. Yanks up 1-0, going into bottom of 3rd.
Hughes having control problems here. Going full to Saunders after walking Ryan.
Ichiro loves knuckle balls, hates the cutter. Holy Cow! The secret to hall-of-famers is that they crush the knuckler!
And Hughes gives up the inevitable hit to Ichiro. Game is tied. Ugh.
Wow! I stepped away for 10 minutes and the Yanks put up a 5-run spot on Felix! 6-1!
Yanks now up 9-1. Sometimes it’s about more than the pitching match up.
I love coming home from a long day to a Yankees win and better yet a Pixies lyric. You rule, Nick.
Was so wiped I went to sleep at 10:00. I’ve been tired…Nice to wake up to this result though! AJ goes tonight. Would be wonderful if the Yanks can turn what began as a horried road trip vs. Baltimore and LAA into a good one with a strong showing in these next two in gerb-territory followed by 3 in Toronto.
That game was excellent. It was nice to see us pound a top notch pitcher. As opposed to the Fins game.
4 games up!
