The Next Great Yankee?

Attack Gerbil has been doing some scouting. This five-tool player, just posted, has the potential to make any team great. Analysts project this young phenom to draw the attention of many major-league franchises. The parent organization is divided on which team’s courtship is the most desirable; it’s a fierce battle between the Tigers and the Yankees. More in the extended.

Owen

Meet Owen. Genuine five-tool kid: sleeps, eats, burps, farts, and sleeps.

Born Saturday, November 11th 2006 at 2:19pm; attack gerbil is a happy dad indeed.

  • Congrats AG, beautiful baby.
Looks like he might be a little lazy on the basebaths though…

  • Lockland, I’m sure he’ll be able to crawl out every ground ball. He might have trouble trying to slobber all over every ball he fields, though…
    Congrats again, AG!

  • Thanks, to all.
Lockland, you are so on the money. He was about a week overdue, and it was a long, hard labor; 9lbs, one ounce. To use an analogy, we couldn’t get him to get out of the batter’s box. He just sat there. As a procrastinator, his skills put my formidable ability to delay to shame.
Incredible experience. Home birth; along with the midwives, there were several family members and close friends there for support. Words can not express. Thank you all.

  • SF: so far, days of intermittent or no sleep, with a similar and totally worthwhile price to pay for many months to come, as I am sure you are well aware. :) Thanks.

  • A great, big congratulations to you and Mrs AG. Little Owen shares a birthday with yours truly. For the sake of the Yankees future, I hope he doesn’t share my athletic prowess…

  • AG, let’s sign the kid up! Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby.

  • Happy belated, Sam. :)
YF in DC: I’d love to sign him up today, but his agent is a Tigers fan, and it’s going to be a tough battle to get him into the stripes.
