Team USA lost last night to Daisuke Matsuzaka and Team Japan.
An indifferent nation shrugs and asks, "How long until Opening Day again?"
As I ask, “How will tonight’s (fifth) game between the two best teams in the tournament turn out?”
Knock it all you want. I still think it’s great.
It’s gonna be a great game tonight. I had no real feelings toward the first WBC, but between Japan and Korea, with an unexpected dash of Dutch, this has been a well-played and well-worth watching Classic. The U.S. could have been eliminated in the first round for all I care: let the “World” have its moment. (Early eliminiation also might have been better for Pedroia and Youkilis.)
