Most AL teams treat the NL like crumbs, you are right, Gerb. But don’t you mean “crummy”?!

Omar Vizquel singles on the first pitch center scoring another run.
Vizquel advances to 2nd on another fielding error. Melky with this one, Jeter with one earlier in the inning.

Durham doubles to center, Winn and Vizquel score. Farnsworth removed for Villone who comes in and promptly hits Bonds with the 1st pitch.
Giants up 7-1

Posada goes down swinging to end the game.
A lack of clutch hitting, Noah Lowry and defensive bungles in the bottom half of the 8th put the game out of reach for the Yanks.
In 3rd again with the Toronto win today. 11.5 back
