The Humbug Journal’s Score Bard does the complicated math and gets this.
Manny has been reduced to a simple Venn Diagram??? I don’t get it…
Yeah, me neither. Am I missing something very obvious, Nick?
it made me laugh. Perhaps it’s lack of sleep or the fact that I have a bad sense of humor. Just the concept I found funny. Maybe it’s because I work with graphic organizers with children all day.
There must be some kind of joke I’m not getting..
Well gentlemen. Jokes are like gossamer and one doesn’t dissect gossamer. heh..hemm..
It’s a very zen thing to me. There is Manny, there is Manny, there is Manny being Manny, and there is the eternal void surrounding us all where language is an imperfect construct and we are all ultimately alone. A humble pie chart is helpful in finding one’s place in the great cosmic game.
Mmmm… humble pie.
what AG said.
When I looked at it, I laughed instantly (did time even elapse? I wonder…) and almost instantaneously I posted (hmm, again, did time pass? What is time?).
I need sleep.
I think it’s clear that Manny doesn’t be Manny at all times.
Sometimes Manny is Fred, or Doug, or someone not Manny.
It’s simplicity is divine.
Manny cannot be described by a simple diagram, chart, let alone OPS.
He is beyond sabermetrics itself.
Manny is the Alpha and Omega of all that exists.
He encompasses infinite multitudes within himself.
This is the Tao of Manny.
but sf, if manny sometimes is not manny, who are you?, who am i?…
seriously, if manny ever stops being manny, does the world blow up?…
This diagram supposes that there are times when Manny is not being Manny, and we all know thats just not true.
I think we’re all starting to understand the brilliance of the diagram. Am I wrong?;)
