What The World Needs Now Is Glove: Yanks-Twins Gamer III

Sticking with the Burt Bacharach theme started yesterday by YF, we’ll keep “Wishin’ and Hoping” for Darrell Rasner to provide the pitching boost they need to earn the split with the Twins, who send Matt Garza. Derek Jeter provided the only scoring in yesterday’s rain-shortened effort and extended his hit streak to 13 games and raised his average to .343, 7 points behind league-leader Joe Mauer. We’re battling for home-field advantage, Jeter has an outside shot at MVP, Rasner gets his first start as a Yankee. There’s “Always Something There to Remind Me” about why I enjoy watching baseball. Here’s your place to comment on today’s game.

  • Hopefully Giambi can start to hit and/or walk again. He’s been in a bad place since all of this cramping and soreness started.

  • Cano snags a line drive hit by Punto and throws Bartlett out at first who was hanging too far off the bag. Nice play.
