The Sox are 9-2 in the first 11 games of their 12-game run through first-place teams. Regardless of what happens today, you can't help but be pleased.
A tad late, but here's your gamer for the rubber game of this series. Comment away!

Ellsbury drops a bunt single, gets in a pickle in a steal attempt, Howard throws it away and Ellsbury takes third. Speed kills, baby.
But he can’t score on a shallow fly by Yooks.
Bay walks; runners on the corners for Lowell.
Loogie annointed today’s leadoff hitter, strikes out on five pitches.
…
Lowell flies out to left. 2 LOBs for Dobbs.
Rocco hits a loner line drive to tie it, 1-0.
Why can’t we edit these anymore?

Rocco hits a long line drive to tie it, 1-1.
Nick Green homers off Illinois native J.A. Happ! 2-1!
Back-to-back!
Rocco Baldelli and Nick Green go back to back? I’m gonna go ahead and say that won’t ever happen again.
It’s tough to complain any time you get HRs from Baldelli and Green, but the Sox have wasted a lot of scoring opportunities in this game.
Happ should have been knocked out earlier and now he’s cruising. It’s annoying.
And now, of course, Beckett gets himself into trouble and gives up a run to Rollins…
Now a run to Victorino…
ok, how did Beckett lose a lead like that?
And there goes the lead.
How did my last post get deleted?
IBM – Did you leave it with beckett for safekeeping?
OK, I’m sorry for the snide Beckett remark.
BECKETT HOMERS!!!!
I love that Beckett gives up the lead, then gets back the tie. That’s so ultimate-awesome. Shame we don’t get to see this guy crack one out a few times a year. He should be a viable pinch-hitter if they’re just trying for a blas with 2 down in the 9th.
Ellsbury’s GIDP ruins the momentum and good will, however. Argh.
Beckett now through 6IP, though near 100 pitches. Does he go back out for the top of the order?
Yeah, I didn’t think this was going to work out. Dammit.
Ack.
I’m going back to loading Miles Davis CDs onto my iTunes.
This team’s defense is just awful this year and today in particular has been a real anti-clinic in fielding. Yeesh.
Y’had to figure they’d lose one here (and they haven’t lost it yet). 9-3 through 4 division leaders is pretty sweet.
I’m not counting them out yet, exactly. And winning the series is great, no matter what happens. But they really have had plenty of chances to win this game, with bat AND glove, and they have thrown them away. They really look like they need tomorrow off.
OK, *now* I’m counting them out. Hate to see Bard walk the freaking pitcher.
Well, okay, now they’ve lost it.
Well, that sucked. Especially on a day that the Yankees romp.
Oh well, still two games up.
Well that’s lame. I heard from my friend that Beckett homered, so I assumed we won. Very mistaken.
And demoralized to see Bard give up so many runs. And there’s another off-day tomorrow, the third of four straight Mondays off.
They are really holding their own against the best teams in the league, which the Yankees definately cannot say (OWNED by Boston AND TB this year).
